Abbey Green Estate was one of the premier coffee producing farms in the early to mid 1800's and the main supplier of berries for the Amber Estate label.

During this period the coffee shops in London were the rage of the social scene and a place of intellectual foment, where politics, law and art were discussed in caffeine stimulated animation.

At that time Abbey Green Estate was one of the finest farms producing Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.  Of all the exporting farms, Abbey Green sold for a premium of £91 per tonne, a fortune in those days.

Abbey Green Estates is the highest farm in the Blue Mountains at 4500 ft and is the only gateway to the famous Blue Mountain Peak, 7,402 ft. above sea level.  All the trails that go to the Blue Mountain Peak goes through the Abbey Green Farm, just below Portland Gap via the challenging 'Jacob's Ladder' section of the trail on the property. 

AMBER PRODUCTS LIMITED, the current operator of Abbey Green, is a boutique roaster of the finest Jamaican Blue Mountain "Amber Estate" coffee. The company was started by Blue Mountain Coffee Entrepreneur and noted ENT Consultant Surgeon Dr. Charles Lyn in 1994.

Amber Estate Coffee uses only the finest handpicked big bold beans from Screen size 19, 18 & 17, designated Jamaica Blue Mountain no.1 for both the roasted beans and roasted ground. This ensures that each cup has the fullest manifestation of notes in both aroma and taste.
